The Wreck Diving before the year 2000 was limited to a few operators who were willing to take their divers out of the Bay of Isla Mujeres to open sea and dive on the Ultra Freeze or El Frio as it is known as well.

The wrecks are the C 58 and the Anaya. They are both Navy Minesweepers, and they have been down for about 5 years. You are able to go inside and penetrate the wrecks. You will also see large schools of spotted Eagle Rays.

These wrecks today a covered with sealife from beautiful colorful coral formations and observing your every move are the ever watchful patrols of Eagle Rays and Barracudas.
